INFORMATION: HERE
ABILITIES: as an Esper, Akane has the ability to access the Morphogenetic Field, which allows her to "resonate [her] consciousness with another person", allowing her to communicate telepathically with them. she is also able to SHIFT, which is the ability to transfer her consciousness through time and to other timelines. normally, SHIFTers lose their memories of previous timelines, but Akane is able to remember all the information she gained, meaning that she is able to experience different timelines and consequences before returning to a safe starting point with all that knowledge. this ability is amplified in life-or-death situations, but Akane is able to use it seemingly at any time, and can refer to her original timeline just moments after she left. as such, her consciousness has lived many, many more years than her physical body (the writer and director of the series mentioned that she has "lived" for at least a million years).
CANON POINT: generally flexible, and happy to play within any of the potential timelines; please let me know if you have a particular preference before threading.
